F.A.Q.
END F.A.Q I am very excited to be able to show you all where Korben and I work. We have put together a really great “behind the scenes,” program to show you how the mountain really works. We will start the day by meeting with the Snow Park manager at 715am.
We will see how the park is built and maybe help with some of the set up. We will also meet the groomers to see how the snow on the mountain is prepared for the day. We will go grab our gear and get ready for riding/skiing or lessons. We will meet the snowboard and ski patrol, talk to them and learn what they do at 9am.
Then we will meet the snowboard and ski school director at 945am to learn about being instructors and how they do what they do. This is when we will have our lessons or free ride/ski.
Snow tubers can go tubing.
We will meet for lunch at 12pm, then we will need parents to drive us to meet mountain operations at 1pm. We will need to be out of our ski boots and in street shoes to do this, so the more parent/leader help we can get the better. Mountain operations is where they do all the snowmaking and we will get to see all the cats.
We will then drive back to the main resort to meet with our friends at Two Top Adaptive Sports (http://www.twotopadaptive.org/) where they teach wounded warfighters to snowboard and ski, in addition to anyone a disability.
After that we could ride, ski, or tube and leave by 4pm. If you are there with your family you are welcome to stay longer. I hope to see everyone up there! Please email me if you have any questions. |
